DJ Todd-Love was raised on the love of music. When he walks in a room, you can hear The O’Jays famous tune, “I Love Music” playing in the background. As a child his mother played a wide range of music in the house 24 hours a day. This ignited Todd-Love’s love for good music. Todd caught the bug for House Music after partying at New York’s classic, The Loft. After experiencing the Saturday Mass, Larry Levan’s famous DJ sessions at renowned Paradise Garage, he was hooked.
While studying Broadcast Management at New York’s Institute of Technology, Todd-Love would DJ college parties around the NYC area and play all the classic tunes he heard Larry Levan play. After graduating, Todd-Love started a DJ service with two friends and together they started a serious mobile sound system which created a name for themselves around NYC.
In 1995 Todd-Love started his own DJ service; JamKam Entertainment, which today has 7 DJ's who’s skill encompass all genres of music. Todd-Love is focusing his efforts on creating his vision of playing good House Music for the people. Some of Todd-Love's influences include Larry Levan, Timmy Regisford, Frankie Knuckles, Louie Vega, David Morales, Jellybean Benitez, DJ Disciple and many more. Todd-Love has played with some of today’s hottest DJ’s, such as Gene Hunt of Chicago, Hotwaxx Hale, Tom T & Alton Miller all from Detroit. Todd-Love has also played for one of Detroit premier yearly events, “Stomp The House”. He was featured in Orlando, FL for a Frankie Knuckles tribute party which was a great success due to his Soulful House styling’s.
Todd-Love can be heard every Sunday on his show “ The Sunday Wind-down” from 6-8pm. Todd-Love is currently partnered with a diverse group of DJs and promoters. They have formed a new venture called the Rhythm League. Together they are starting a new movement in the Orlando House scene. Keep your ears and eyes open because DJ Todd-Love is making waves.
